Rules of Entry

Please read these in line with the category headings and judging criteria (pdf)
The organisers reserve the right to amend these rules and the judging criteria at any time.
You are also invited to Register an Interest and subscribe to email updates.

The following requirements must be met:

  • All films must be the work of Cambridgeshire Young People and entered into the appropriate age group and category.
    • Schools may submit a maximum of 7 films per school.
    • Organisations or groups may submit a maximum of 2 films.
    • Individuals may submit a maximum of 1 film and must be endorsed by a responsible adult.  Proof of age and affiliation to a Cambridgeshire learning establishment or registration of home schooling will be required.
  • Only films suitable for a General Audience will be accepted for nomination and published in the public arena (ie U-PG ratings).
  • Films will not be accepted if they contain bad language or dwell unnecessarily on themes of violence.
  • All entries featuring young people will have secured appropriate parental permissions for public viewing. Documentation may be asked for by the organisers.
  • Films must NOT contain copyright materials without written consent of the owner e.g. music, images, branded props or costumes - Documentation may be asked for submission by the organisers
  • The title of the film should be consistent with the entry information to assist with identification in the judging process.
  • Entries will be via submission to the linked website and must be accompanied with a completed entry form endorsed by an adult.
  • Films should NOT exceed the specified maximum length for each category.
  • Proof of age and affiliation to a Cambridgeshire learning establishment or registration of home schooling will be required for independent entries.
