The competition is on for 2013.
The festival began in 2008 and has enjoyed six successful years, with children and young people in Cambridgeshire creating their own animations and films and celebrating their achievements at an annual awards ceremony. The film festival provides the focus and inspiration to encourage children, some as young as five, to use talk, drama and writing, photography, animating, shooting, directing and editing to produce some outstanding films. Work in this area engages young people and contributes considerably to their overall literacy development in addition to planning, problem resolution, team work, art, design technology and a whole host of other associated skills.
Organised by The ICT Service, the awards event for Primary Schools held in July 2012 was once again attended by over 1,000 young film makers, their teachers and parents.
